This morning Ben Morton & Matt Kelly have started a 7 day sponsored walk on the Isle of Man, along the famous Raad ny Foillan route. The walk consists of a total of 102 miles - roughly the same distance from Keynsham to Reading.
The Isle of Man, renown for its unique beauty in the British Isles, is also known for its extraordinary rainfall; roughly 40% of days are rainy days on the island, which is going to further add to the challenge of the walk. Joining them will be Alex Brown, a resident of the Isle of Man, who will be separately raising money for GUSHGUSH.
The duo are walking to raise money for the church's Romania summer camp project for disadvantaged children. The project is run through Transfrom Europe Network, a charity dedicated to supporting Christian nationals in Europe engaged in mission, church planting and meeting the needs of the poor. In just 2 weeks time a team from the church will once again be en route to Oradea, western Romania, to team up with a local grass-roots charity, CASA Grace to run the camp. CASA Grace is a social work charity who routinely work with disadvantaged families throughout the year, helping families in extremely tough and challenging situations. From supporting families experiencing death of a bread-winner, to helping families get into work.
